Buying Guide
Choosing the right 15th Brigade patch involves several considerations. Start with authenticity: patches that meet Institute of Heraldry specifications ensure official appearance and durability. Decide between OCP and AGSU colors based on your primary uniform or display needs. If you want a single, personal patch, a sew-on patch may be preferable, whereas patches with hook fasteners suit tactical gear or tactical vests.
Material and finish matter: look for quality embroidery on durable fabrics, with reinforced edges to prevent fraying. For collectors, consider serials, packaging, and whether the patch is sold as a single or pair. If you desire customization, printed patches with edge embroidery offer personalization options while maintaining a professional look.
Versatility matters: patches should withstand washing if worn on uniforms or gear. For display or gifting, color accuracy and image clarity influence visual appeal. Consider a patch that complements other insignia, such as Sustainment Brigade or Signal Brigade logos, to create cohesive uniform sets.
Budget and usage: pairs can be economical for those who want a spare or dual-surface display, while single patches suit collectors or units needing one per member. Always verify product origin (USA-made options may offer specific assurances) and verify patch type (sew-on vs. iron-on) to match your application method.
Application tips: prepare a clean, flat surface; use proper stitching for sew-on patches, or apply heat-activated backing only if the patch is designed for iron-on use. For display purposes, framing or mounting patches can preserve colors and prevent wear over time.
Cross-compatibility: for enthusiasts of multiple brigades, coordinating patches by color family or uniform era can create visually cohesive collections. When buying, review included features like “two-pack” or “one-per-pack” to align with your display or deployment needs.
Summary at a glance: The included patches span official OCP and AGSU variants, with options for personalization and Sustainment Brigade insignia. Each item emphasizes durability, official specs, and USA-made assurances where stated, helping readers select patches that fit their uniform or collection goals.
